Our Mission And Objectives
Our mission is to increase awareness and knowledge of agriculture in India among the general public.
Agriculture is a vital sector of India's economy, providing livelihoods for millions of farmers and
contributing significantly to food security and exports. However, the sector faces numerous challenges that
must be addressed to sustainably develop agriculture and ensure the welfare of farmers and rural
communities.
Challenges Faced by Farmers in Farming:
We aim to educate the public about the challenges faced by farmers in farming, including issues such as soil
degradation, water scarcity, climate change, and pest and disease management. We believe that by raising
awareness of these challenges, we can encourage greater support and investment in sustainable agriculture
practices.
Lack of Innovation and New Tech in Agri:
We also seek to highlight the lack of innovation and new technology adoption in agriculture, and the need
for increased research and development in the sector. We believe that by promoting innovation and technology
in agriculture, we can help farmers improve their productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Transport and Storing Produce:
Our organization also aims to address the challenges faced by farmers in transporting and storing their
produce, including issues such as inadequate infrastructure, high transportation costs, and post-harvest
losses. We believe that by advocating for better transport and storage facilities, we can help farmers
access new markets and increase their income.
Farmers' Ability to Sell:
We seek to promote awareness of the challenges faced by farmers in selling their produce, including issues
such as market access, price volatility, and the dominance of middlemen. We believe that by supporting
farmers in marketing and sales, we can help them achieve better prices and secure their livelihoods.
Govt Policies Relating to Agri and Its Challenges:
Our organization also aims to advocate for better government policies and interventions to support
agriculture and address its challenges. We believe that by engaging with policymakers and advocating for
farmer-friendly policies, we can create a more enabling environment for sustainable agriculture development.
Lack of a Public Forum to Seek Feedback and Input:
We seek to create a public forum for farmers and stakeholders to share their feedback and input on
agricultural issues, and to build a network of like-minded individuals and organizations committed to
promoting sustainable agriculture in India.
Lack of a Cohesive Group Representing Farmers Across India:
Finally, our organization aims to represent the interests and concerns of farmers across India, and to build
a cohesive movement for sustainable agriculture. We believe that by bringing together farmers, researchers,
policymakers, and other stakeholders, we can create a powerful force for positive change in Indian
agriculture.
